Pasha - Silken Windhound male

Velvet is a contrast to her brother Deuce. She is much calmer and is not as much into the "show scene" as he is, although she handily finished her UKC Championship.

Velvet resembles a combination of her mother Pryss and grandmother Ginger, wrapped up in a lovely package.

Silken Windhound Velvet's first win

Her first major was earned at her first group of shows, competing against a quite large and older entry at the 2011 UKC Gateway!

Velvet also won her class at the 2012 SilkenFest National Specialty (her brother Deuce also winning his).

In the summer of 2014, Velvet presented us with a lovely litter of puppies sired by Pasha. One of the pups is Herc, who is the youngest ISWS Champion in the breed, having completed his championship at the age of 9 months. He won Reserve Winners Dog at Silkenfest, after taking Best Oppposite in Puppy Sweepstakes. He was also Best Puppy in Specialty, with his sister Corki taking Best Opp Puppy.

For her second litter, she was bred to a Trouble son, Frowny Boy. From this litter we retained Smooches and Zeeman. Smooches won three Best Puppy in Specialty awards.

Velvet now resides at Satsuma Silkens in Florida.
