Doodle is Stone's littermate out of a litter sired by Nigel. She looks remarkably like her father Nigel with the same lovely facial features and an expression one could drown in. She is also quite the devoted companion.
Doodle's show debut was in Midland, TX at the West Texas Kennel Club dog show, where she took Winner's Bitch for a five-point major under breeder judge Nadine Johnson of Rising Star Borzoi. What an exciting way to start her show career! At the age of 14 months, she won Best of Opposite in Sweepstakes at the first Lone Star Borzoi Club's BCOA Supported Entry, held in Abilene, Texas.
On May 13, 2000, at the age of 18 months and 1 day, Doodle finished her AKC championship under Judge Betty Stites. Since finishing her championship, she has participated in lure coursing, straight racing and oval racing.
She completed her GRC in September of 2001 at the Minnesota Coursing Association's race meet and received her AKC Senior Courser title in December 2001. She has earned AKC and ASFA FCh points as well, but was never as enthuastic about chasing plastic bags as she was about that "stuffed toy" used in LGRA.
At the age of 6 1/2 years, Doodle won Best Opposite Sex at the LGRA race meet held at the 2005 BCOA National Specialty.
