On September 1, 2006 Flareon (Chataqua's Flareon of Gryf-n-Viktor, SC SGRC2 FCh) whelped 2 male pups sired by Burni (Am. Mex. Can. Ch. Gryffyn's Aeyrie Caliburn, JC). Burni is a true International champion, having earned championships in America, Canada and Mexico. He has a Specialty Best of Winners win (RMBC), a Specialty Award of Merit (BCOC) and group placements in Canada and Mexico. Flareon is a large, rangy girl who is the first Borzoi bitch to attain the SGRC2 racing title. She is also conformation pointed, but showing is not her forte. She had been out of competition due to a slightly torn ligament and we are re-assessing her future on the field. Burni and Flareon complement each other nicely structurally - and both are quite the speed demon, as well as possessing very free and easy ground-covering movement.
